Policies
-
Enrollment -
To enroll you must complete
a Registration Form and pay a $20.00 non-refundable Registration Fee.
Both of these are due at time of enrollment and students will not be allowed to
participate in class if our office has not received these items first.
First months tuition is also due at the time of enrollment. After first
months tuition has been paid you will be invoiced the following months.
Enrollment is required for each new season. NCDC only has two seasons a
year, the school year season and the summer season. You will need to fill
out a Registration Form for each season but the Registration Fee of $20.00 is
only due annually.
WITHDRAWAL - If you should choose to withdraw from our program you must
put in writing why you chose to do so. No refunds will be given. If
a student chooses to withdraw half way through a month the remaining balance
will not be refunded by the school. You will continue to be invoiced until
a written statement has been received by the office.
Absences
-
If a student is not able to
attend class due to illness or family emergency they are encouraged to take a
Make-Up class. Ask your instructor what class the student should attend for
their Make-up class. Tuition will not be reimbursed for any absence. You may
make up a class up to four weeks following the absence. Please feel free to ask
your instructor or Director for any questions you have concerning a prolonged
illness or more than one absence in a month.
Late Arrivals
-
If a student arrives 15 minutes
late to class he/she must sit out and observe the class. This is for the safety
of the student. If a student jumps into class late they most likely missed the
warm-up in class, which could lead to injury.
School Closures
-
NEW CITY DANCE CO. will
always follow the Highline School district with closures concerning snow and
sever weather. Please see your schedule for holiday closures.
SEASON FINALE -
One of the most exciting times in a dancer's life is being able to perform.
Each year we produce a show full of all the young talent we have worked with
throughout the school year. We rent a large venue and hold a professional
show with our students. Please know that to produce a show like this it
takes a lot of work from our parents and our students as well as our staff.
We will be looking for volunteers to sell tickets, hand out posters or make
cookies! All help is appreciated! A $50.00 participation fee will be
due the 1st of May from all Ballet Academy students, a $25.00 participation fee
will be due from all other students.
This is the time for all
students to shine! We encourage all students to participate and to show what
they have learned and how they have grown in their performance quality and in
their technique. And to share their love for the art of dance.
